Front and Rear Crossbars?

For an 08 Forester, what is the difference between the front and rear crossbars for the roof rack? Anyone know?

If you're asking about factory/OEM crossbars for an SG, '03-'08, the front crossbar is wider than the rear crossbar.

If you're thinking about using SG crossbars on an SF, I don't think they'll fit?

Thanks, Bobby. Yeah, it's an 08 Forester X that we just bought, and it has no rear crossbar. There's some guy selling crossbars in Ebay for 03-08s, but I'm not sure if he knows whether they're front or rear. I was hoping it wouldn't make much difference, but I think I may wave off on it. I'm just trying to avoid paying $130 for a new one from the dealership, and I can't find a salvage yard anywhere within 3 states who has one.

If you buy a crossbar, make sure you get all the pieces. Those rubber pads, 2 on each side are expensive!

Take a look at my crossbar installation write up here
