Probably worth getting another quote at that price, then again some charge a lot for installing.

There is another thread somewhere here, and I may not remember correctly, but a member was selling a rear spoiler. Based on that thread, it did not seem that easy to install.

i did not find out what the price for the actual part was because I don't want to install it, i want it installed for me. Drilling holes in a new car isn't something I'm interested in doing myself.

I don't think it is available as an accessory, at least not yet. It will be in the parts book as normal replacement parts though. I imagine you would have to buy the spoiler, the LED for it, and the hardware all as separate parts though. As a 'for example' back when the 2004 STi came out, the spoiler as separate parts retailed at about $1700.

Swapping gates with something with a touring who doesn't want the spoiler is probably the best option if you don't want to drill.

I spoke with SOA today about the possibility of a 2014 Rear Spoiler accessory similar to those available on previous years. They stated that currently they have no plans to offer this as an accessory but stated that if enough interest was presented to them that might change. So I urge anyone interested in this to contact Subaru and request it be offered as an accessory.
