I was wondering if anyone could insight some wisdom on the best way to get from Ikebukuro to Mitaka to check out the STI gallery. I couldn't find a train line but I can't read Japanese so maybe there is one!
Thanks for the help!
I cannot add urls yet. Looks like you may need to do a transfer between lines. It's been a while since I've been on any trains in Japan. I do remember that the were timely and clean.
Check on japanrailpassdotnet, jreastdotcom and wikipedia.
I've always found the guys in the train station ticket offices to be unbelievably helpful. Just ask and they'll show you on the maps where to change lines and how much the ticket will be etc.
Never had a problem getting around anywhere.
Give it a try, it's great fun :icon_razz:
I went to Tachikawa but I was so confused there. I thought STi museum was in Tachikawa for some reason and that was the last day of my trip so I missed out on Mikata.
I will check it out next time I go to Japan. Got any pics?
Im in Japan now, I had no idea there was an STi museum. Im going to have to check it out now, thanks for the information. When I go Ill post some pics. Thanks again.
I made it to the Gallery. Its actually a large dealership on the first floor and the gallery on the second. It wasn't much, so if you are in Tokyo there are much cooler places to see go, but I'll let you be the judge. Anyways here are some shots of the place, if anyone wants more or the full size images let me know. The gallery is only open Mon-Fri, but the Japanese are so compliant one of the employees walked me up to the second floor and said Saturday Sunday close, but look. The lights weren't on so the only light was from the windows, creating the glare. Fortunately, I was the only one there.
More. Also a 2015 STi Type S with a 2.0 vs us spec 2.5. As I was walking around they brought me a brochure and a coffee. Even though they knew I wasn't going to buy anything. Their hospitality and costumer service is amazing.
