I'm brand new to the Subaru Forester and love it. My only concern is because of all the glass, the heat buildup from the sun is pretty extreme. Can anyone suggest a way to mitigate this? If I can avoid it, I don't want to tint (DMV is really picky) or use suction cups to secure sunshades. What I was hoping for were some type of custom cut sun reflector that would snap easy in and out of the "window struts / frame" for each of the 6 side/backseat windows. I tried googling everything I can think of but came up with nothing. Anyone here solved this? Thanks in advance.
Even sticking to your state's restrictions on tint, you should still be able to tint all windows (aside from that windshield) to a degree sufficient to drastically help with this. Then just get a removable sunshade for the front to use when parked.
I purchased 3 of these for all the passenger windows, they work very well, no suction cups, roll up nicely, block a lot of the sun and heat and blend well with the interior colors.
