I booted mine after seeing this thread. I got a free oe boot and a pretty cheap lathewerks knob, lifted console and slapped it on. Looks pretty good, I think. Thanks for the idea.

It looks like carbon fiber, I would guess it’s been wrapped with vinyl. The reason it looks black and white striped is more do to the lighting I think.

What about an S204 shift surround? The size of the boot would match the 4EAT gated pattern perfectly. If it wasn't $225+shipping+import I'd be all over this.
