After market seats

Hi all,

New to this forum, but not new to Forester. :)

Ever since I got mine in 2004, I have been having back trouble, because of uncomfortable seats. I have tried everything ranging from various cushions to seat covers. I am the point of either selling my Forester or installing new driver seat.
Question: Which after market seats fit Subaru? Where to buy them? I am in the San Francisco Bay Area neighborhood.

Thanks for the responses!

Why not just get some WRX or STI seats? They all bolt right in and can be found for a lot cheaper than a decent aftermarket seat will cost you.

Are ther powered seats? If so, my wife's Outback has really comfy seats. They would probably swap in like the WRX and STi seats.

I'll take a different approach here. . .

If you decide to go with an aftermarket setup, usually what you need to do is find seats that will fit in the car properly, the shop you decide to buy from will most-likely have the seat sliders and proper bracket that will connect your seat to your car.

I've been modding Hondas for a couple years, and have 2 different aftermarket seats myself.

www.sparcousa.com (that's Sparco's site)

and then check out Corbeau seats. Cobras are nice, VERY PRICEY, usually in leather. Momo makes great seats, and of course Recaros are the shiznit!

Since you are in Cali, www.showstoppersusa.com would be a good place to call. They mainly carry parts and aftermarket supplies for Hondas/Acuras. But will definitely be able to direct you to a good shop that deals with Scoobies.

Or, check out Ebay! Just make sure you use the 98.5% rule (don't buy anything from a seller with less feedback percentage than that).

Just checked Showstoppers site. They have a Subaru section. Not necessarily for the Forester, but it sounds like there is a lot of swap options with the WRX, STi, and Forester (as far as seats go).

Gluck

yeah, swap in some WRX or STi seats -- you can stick with Subaru seats still. or what i have found recently is some aftermarket seat covers that give you the option of adding adjustable lumbar support. http://www.wetokole.com/

Yes, I know this is an OLD thread, but I thought I'd bump it.

Which seats are the comfiest for Subarus? My 01 seats suck. Likely because they're 8 years old, but still. Leather or not, doesn't matter a lot to me, as long as they're plug and play with my heated seats now.

^heated is hard to find. you could get limited XT seats from a newer foreter, or wrx/sti.
But the heated seats are rarer...

seat heaters are VERY easy to swap over from your stock seats.

Forgive me for bringing back a two year old thread. I am wondering if anyone has installed aftermarket seats in a 2011 Forester? I'm looking into either Sparcos or Corbeaus. My major worry is the seat being to big for the Forester (as I ran into that issue with a Recaro a week ago), something with more thigh support.

Forester Replacement seats

I have a 2001 Forester with similar issues over seat comfort...do seats from a WRX simply bolt right into a Forester, or would they need to be adapted?
