I'm pretty sure we had a cat thread at one time but I think it went with the old forum. Anyway since we've added a new critter to the family I thought I'd start up one again.
We got a sweet cat the other week. Here name is Gracie, she was living in a friends garage for about a year. They already have two inside cats and didn't want another. She must have belonged to a family at one time. We took her to the vet before bringing her home and she's been spayed already. She is a real people kitty that loves all the attention that my kids are giving her that's for sure. She's integrated right into the family like she's always been here. Now we pretty much have the whole food chain in the house. Fish, lizard, parrot, cat and dog She loves to sleep in my daughters bed at night. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This is Simon. He's 14 years old and the sole survivor of a pack that once comprised 4 cats and a dog. He's in great health and follows a very cautious lifestyle. Must have at least 8.5 lives left. He's a great traveler.
Description of the scene is at:Mounting Handheld GPS Units in Foresters ![]()

We had a cat once who loved to nestle in a very heavy, oval shaped, cut glass bowl. Just as in Peaty's case, it took us a while to find him the first time he did it. He became quite distressed when he outgrew it and kept trying to fit himself in for quite a while afterwards.
It's unfortunate that this thread is active at the same time as the Gutted Cats one.

Here is my cat "Kittie". She was a stray that I kept finding laying on my bed. (It was summer, door was open). I didn't know what to call her so I just said "come her kittie". I guess it stuck. She has been a part of the family for 8 years now.

Frequently when I'm eating at the kitchen counter, Simon will sit on the floor and put on his pitiful look, hoping that I might let him have some of my food. Last night I was eating Thai food, quite spicy, which I was sure he wouldn't like. So I cut off just a tiny little piece of chicken and put it in his dish. Sure enough, he gave it one sniff and walked away.
Which made me wonder. Do Siamese cats eat Thai food?
