Well that explains the couple of cases of broken crankshafts we've heard of. It's good that they've been able to tie it down to a build error- maybe a specific batch or indeed operator, one wonders.

I know the legacys and Outbacks are (or were) made in Indianna, in the USA but if the engines for them are made there too, I would think this wouldn't affect foresters as they're made in Gunma, Japan.
Ofcourse this depends where the engines are built and if they're assembled in the same place the vehicle is made or in 1 place and then distrubuted |
