Since the break in, sorry criminal damage
at the weekend I have been thinking about my alarm. The bloody thing didnt go off. I am absolutely positive the bloody thing didnt go off. Now i've been vacing the last bits of glass out of the car this evening and thought i'd give it a test. So I set the alarm and tap the window, nowt! next I set the alarm and sit in the car and bang the inside of the windows, nowt. Next I sit in the car with the vac, set alarm and the switch the vac on. Result it goes off! So if you want me to hear you stealing my car bring a fully work vac with you! Check the sensors are wired in and they are. So can I turn up the sensitivity? cant find owt in the manual. or perhaps a way of doing an automated test? Or perhaps I'd be better off getting something better fitted? mike |

The ultrasonic protection has a learning procedure on arming each time and takes a few seconds to settle down, page 4 of the manual explains it better than I can....
Sigma M30 operating instructions Ultrasonic sensitivity can be altered.... Sigma M30 programming codes ... just some stuff I've found whilst researching my current problem with the indicators sticking on so hope it helps you out.

If the Sigma is anything like other alarms, as previously said it will take a certain amount of time to arm the interior sensors. This can be 30 seconds but may be 2mins or more !! If there is stuff going on inside the car during this period ( eg hoovering) then there may be actually be some code that prevents the sensors from arming at all, so worth a check.
My alarm's got a red light that flashes quicker while it's arming and then goes to a slow flash once it's armed. |

![]() Does it go off if you wind the windows down, lock the car and wait for it to arm (with you outside), and then dive through the window ( Dukes of Hazard stylie)...? If not then the sensors def need looking at, or the sensitivity turning up if that's possible. |
