Thanks all.
The Thule Pacific 780 seems to come in at about £320. Anyone know anywhere that has better deals than that? I may try Neil's trick of finding a display one if possible. The Atlantis 1800 seems to be a US model name. Anyone know the UK equivalent? It looks positively cavernous! |

This is my one roughly the same but different:
Thule*-*6312 Thule Pacific 200 DS I don't have the problem of the claw grip turny/knobby thing taking up much room inside |

Any thoughts on this?
Looks a good size/design and decent offer. Doesn't have both side opening or grips. Anyone used one of these? |

The only thing I would say is that after the quick grip system I would pay more again to have it. Once unloaded it takes 1 min max to take off and so your not trolleying about with it all holiday. Also less chance of scratching you car roof messing about with u bolts etc. just my opinion anyways. |
