2004 Forester STI possibly for sale..

Hi all,
I'm seriously considering selling my 2004 Forester STI as I have a company car on the way. Problem is they are so few and far between I don't really know how much to ask for it. It's been in the UK since 2008, 2 owners, 58k, crystal grey metallic, all standard, exc condition, Japanese and UK history with belts etc done recently. Very nice, clean car all in all and I'll be sad to see it go but needs must.

Pic below is not great but the only one I have on the computer I'm using now.

What do you think it's worth please, sensible answers only please!

Cheers for any help.

It a shame your first post here mate is about selling the best all round car on the road!!!
Phils FSTi I think is up for sale at the moment at about 9k I think so I guess yours will be of similar value?
I'd personally ask for about 10k!! Only getting rarer!!
GLWS!!!

I would be inclined to say you are Deadly serious about selling your FSTi.....your 1st post is to get it advertised on this forum!!!...can't fault you for that...

...but it needs to be put in the 'Marketplace' section (if the moderators don't do it for you)

Subject to a full appraisal (condition) of your car, then £9K is the money if you want to sell it.......although unless someone is dead set on having the silver, then it may have to be a fair bit cheaper!!.. otherwise it isn't going to compete with the blue mica FSTi that the other member has for sale on here

Having said that, the Blue Mica FSTi on here is well worth £10+K !

Thanks for the advice guys.
Didn't want to put it in the 'marketplace' section until I've definately decided and have the time for a proper ad and photos. Was just looking for a guide price at this stage.

I agree its a great car, have had it longer than I've been a member on here, but I don't have the garage space to keep it and a company car.

I fail to see how a MY04 FSTi is worth 9k
My Audi A4 tdi is much better spec'd and built way better than one of these and worth around 7k..

The Quality, age and mileage of a car, although relevant, has less to do with value than Desirability, reputation and demand has !....Plus you have to throw in the scarcity of the FSTi as well (with all due respect, an Audi A4 Tdi is more common than Dog Pooh!)

PS. i wont argue against the build quality of the Audi's but it is not 'Way better' than the Subaru's, especially when you factor in the Engineering quality of both brands.......The perception of the car buying public (particularly in Britain) is very skewed by more than a little Badge snobbery imo

Thanks everyone for your advice. Think I'll probably put it up on here first for around 7k. I would rather sell to a member on here who will appreciate it.

Going to miss it though.

Interesting comment, I have owned several Audi's over the years and found the build quality and reliability very poor.

There is no way that any Audi's I have owned are built as well my Foz.

It's not as bad as you think, shipping of a car from Europe to Canada costs 1.200 dollars.
