...or thoughts!
Anyone have pics of their Forester with 215/225-45-17s on Swifts? I would love 50s or 55s but yanno.. they're RE92s and 50 offset soo... UGH Hoping Swifts will help fill up the gap more but I doubt the 45s will really do that.. especially with silver rims... hmm should I just go with black ones? Easy to keep looking clean.. and I have black handles, black tint, and black roof rails...

Thanks. I have that picture myself too :)
Problem is, most people say 50-55 fills nicely but 45 doesn't (it looks too small). I wanted to see if there was a big difference between a 50 and a 45. I'm thinking that a black set will help "hide" the small size.

Dang.. that sucks because I don't want to spend another $500 on new rubber. Might as well keep running on my 215-60-16s as they would probably fill more of the gap than the 215-45-17s. Arg Subaru and another less than desired OEM shoes selection!
Meh.. think I should let go of the 07 WRX rims that come with those "small" tires.. or should I run the less than desired tire until they run out (I'm guessing about 2-3 years from now.. meaning I'll be over 100k..). I'm getting them for $425.. no curbage no damage and more than 75% rubber. Looks like I'll need 225-50 for sure to even match the height of my current setup.. 215-45s are almost a 2 inch height difference!

This may or may not help, but here's Subed with 225/45/17 tires on F-STI pinks, which are pretty similar to the Swifts in terms of drop. Personally I always felt like the shorter sidewalls made for too much wheel gap with this setup.

Ahh.. so those were 45s.. that helps a lot Silke. I think I'm going to change my mind and not take the WRX rims. I photoshopped F2.5's car to look like what it would look like if I got the rims. My girl doesn't like them.. black or silver.
![]() I think Swifts for handling and ride comfort, a grille, and eyelids will be the extent of my mods now. Maybe a lip and spoiler later and that's it. Going to just stick with my 16s... :(
