Holy crap that is a GREAT idea! He said that the "parlor" (living room) is pretty big. He was supposed to give me a call back today with the availability but he didn't. I think we have enough interest to go for it so i'll call him back and if it's available i'll book it.

Not sure who's going to get the king bed since we don't have any couples coming with us....hmmm....

Todd, you can put me and my brother down for the king bed, if you need to fill it. Don't forget we need to pay for parking there, too - I don't know if that gets paid with the room, or at the lot when we get there.

I think parking is in the lot itself but not 100% positive on that.

Sweet thanks. You two sharing does help. Hopefully it is still available. I will be calling them today.

Well, I'm still not completely sure he's coming, so there's no point in booking two seperate beds for us, or worrying about one of us sleeping on the floor every night.

It's done. Presidential Suite at the Hilton. We'll have 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 1 queen sofa pull out, and he said he's going to give us a cot or 2. All this for the low low price of $300 INCLUDING tax.

Parking is going to be in a city own garage that is $8/per car/per day.

I think you'll enjoy yourself more in the Forester. This isn't a drive about speed and agility.

I have just signed up to participate in this event and am really looking forward to it.

I'm currently unemployed, so I need to keep expenses to a minimum. I'd really like to share rooms, if possible, to keep costs low. I can sleep on the floor, if that's the only space left.

-ste

Obligatory disclaimer: I'm gay. If you can't handle a gay guy sleeping in the same room as you, then please don't offer to share your room with me. It bothers me that I have to even state this, but neither you nor I want any surprises later on.

Hey ste, I don't have a problem with you sharing a room with us. We have two big rooms in Burlington, VT and Dunham Bay. In Cherry hill I think everyone is getting their own room. Unfortunately there is only floor space left but if you're ok with that than go for it. Speaking for myself if you're going to sleep on floor I could care less if you put up any money, but it might be a good gesture to at least contribute something. And that goes for all you other bums sleeping on our floor

As for the gay thing, I don't have a problem with that either. I speak for myself of course. Realistically I was never comfortable sleeping in a bed with another guy gay or not but that's just me. You might meet the man of your dreams on the trip, you never know!

I really need to make a list of who's staying in our room.

Meh, whatever. No big deal for me either.

Todd, you can put me in one bed and yellow knight in another for fri and sat night. May have a floor sleeper for both nights too.

I finally got registered today too. I'm good to go. Full sized spares ready, trans going back in tomorrow (hopefully) with snow tires. CB is a permanent fixture, so that isn't an issue. Just a couple of minor things left after I get the car back.

And, I already got my first donation.

Cool, i'll jot that down. Don't worry about paying, we can figure that out when we get to the hotels.

For me, the more the merrier so if anyone needs a place to stay and the beds are taken, if there is physical space you're welcome to it. At the very least the people in the beds are to split up the cost, but it would be great if the floor sleepers kicked in at least something to help bring the cost down for everyone.
