Catching his breath more likely
I really like my MXV4's there good tires, but Sears way overcharged you for them I think i paid 640+ 70 to have them mounted and balanced.

$1000 for tires????? WOW. I'd shop around a little next time, and use the spare for a couple days if you have to.
Also, how did the tire blow? Was it not patchable? |

Well, I don't have time to shop around, First, it was Saturday, so lot of shop didn't open. Second, A need to get my thesis done soon, it has been a busy semester... There is a crack on the side wall of the tire, that's un-patchable. I was turning right and I hit the curve to hard. Also, the tire is kind of old, it is the stock one when I get it brand new, the tire is getting old (my car is 63,000mi and I have change winter tire in the winter).

$1000 included the Road Hazard plan, and an oil change. I had MXV4 on my old car, it was great. That's why I choose it again. Though I would prefer the Sport A/S, but they don't have it in stock. Also, MXV4 is the most common tire they are in stock in Sears. If they happen again, I'm pretty sure they have the tire for me.

The price may have been a little high, but that's water under the bridge at this point. Sometimes the situation dictates pricing.
![]() It is hard to be a Michelin tire. I run them on about anything I can afford to put them on including my company truck (2008 Escape AWD). I just replaced the factory Michelin Cross Terrains on it (75K miles) with a new set for $1050 at Discount Tire here in Georgia. 245 65R17.

Ouch... Having been in a similar situation (tire emergency while out of town on a roadtrip, and on a Saturday), I can sympathize... we were forced to go with a set of Kumho Ecsta ASX to replace our Michelin Pilot Sports A/S tires at that time, due to lack of choices.
Better check what that road hazard plan covers, though... I find that those kinds of plans are pretty useless on Subarus because most of the time you can't just replace one tire. |
