you can pick up used rotas for 500 bucks.

But besides that-

you could try plastic dip. Ive seen someone do that and at least it can easily be removed.

But an otherwise stock forester, would look better with shiny clean stock wheels vs rattle can black.

You should go ahead and try it. Who cares what people think. Do what you want to do man. I like it. You can add the glossifier as well. I plan to plasti dip my wheels black next month and might add glossifier. Just for your information, you might need to clean the wheels more to keep the plasti dip looking good because it can get stained over time from road grime and brake dust.

I'm normally not a fan, but it looks great on a white car, as there is enough contrast to make a visual impact. It would look even better if you paint the grille and door handles black. That would give it a really "clean" look.

I agree. I knew my car wasn't going to be fast, but it could at least look good. Since I can't easily change the color of the paint I did what I thought would look the best. No chrome and as much black accenting as possible.

if you powdercoat them, your spending near 500 bucks normally. maybe 400. you might as well buy new wheels at that point.

that looks good and those wheels don't cost to much either. And if you kept your stockers, you can always fall back on them.

It all depends on where you get them done. I got my stock FXT wheels powder coated for $240.00 total

In all seriousness, black wheels look great with just about anything IMO.
