('01-'02) Scion TC wheels w/ spacers?

I've seen a few threads about the Scion TC wheels and whether or not they'd fit our Fozzy's. I know they'd need to be bored out by 2mm to fit.

I found a deal on Craigslist, these wheels PLUS tires in good condition, PLUS 20 lug nuts and adapters for $200.

I know this is a good deal but my question is about the spacers... Can the car be safely driven with just the spacers (until I get the wheels bored out)? I have to pass inspection this month and my current tires aren't too pretty.
