Hey guys.. haven't taken a photo yet but the adapters and nuts look identical to the OP ones. Unfortunately these will require modification to the wheels as well.

5x114.3 conversion requires more than hubs. IIRC the spindle of the axle that plugs into on the hub is different. Not worth the trouble IMO.

For the front you would need new from drive shafts. The problem with that is non of the OEM ones will fit.
The rears have similar problems but you will also need to swap to rear Brembo Calipers. |

Damn, what's up with that? That just flat out lying to the customer according to the description (and photos) on their site. Unless you got the wrong ones by mistake you got screwed. I'd be on the phone first thing tomorrow morning.

I PM'ed Dan on NASIOC and asked if he could put up some actual product photos of the adapters and sure enough they are pretty much exactly the same as the ones the OP used. What a shame.

He didn't post them to NASIOC he just updated his website.
WRX-to-STI Wheel Bolt Pattern Adapters - Wheels He said the other photo was a stock photo from the manufacture. Obviously it was of an unfinished product. The lug nuts do look like they have a thinner wall than most so maybe they would clear. He said there haven't been any complaints. Maybe souper can do a test fit and report back to us. |

I did try test fitting and it did seem like there was some interference with the lug nuts as there appeared to be a gap between the adapter and the wheel. I couldn't get my head back there to determine how big, but i'd guess around 4 mm. I will do it again this weekend to get a measurement.
I'm in the process of drawing up the adapter and wheel on CAD and will do some overlays so I know exactly how much clearance there is/isn't. I'll post up the results. I'm a little disappointed that modification may be required but it's not a major deal. Last edited by souper; 12-10-2012 at 10:36 AM. |

EDIT: This ended up not being a problem as the adapters fit the wheel perfectly when torqued down. It's just an extremely tight fit to test fit as shown. This is good because it means the wheel sits perfectly centered on the hub.
One issue I noticed while test fitting the adapter onto the wheel, it doesn't sit flush as seen in the photo below. The adapter sits flush with the wheel on the top portion of the photo but there is a 3-4mm gap on the bottom. If I put pressure on the bottom portion, the top pops up, etc. Seems the hub 'flange' on the adapter doesn't rest into the wheel perfectly.. but this might fix itself when everything is torqued onto the car. Dan doesn't think it's an issue, so i'll hold off on judgement until I go to actually get these wheels on.

Guess it's back to waiting for my Project Kics lug nut to come in the mail and see if that is still a possible solution.
Thanks for keeping us informed on your findings souper. That's quite a bummer. The add makes it sound like these are somehow different/better than all the other 15mm adapters that are available. The photo of the product only halfway through the machining process sure got my hopes up. ![]() Oh and what wheels are those souper? |
