2010 Forester - recommend a tire

Everyone:

I was getting off the freeway when some stuff flew off a truck. No choice but to hit the item (I was not the only one that hit it either!).

Anyway, Front right tire is ripped, rear right tire is bulging.

Car has 18000 miles (stock original tires have approximately 10,000 miles).

I was towed home and threw the winter tires on.

So now I have to buy new tires:

1. Safe to buy 2 tires (the geolander stockers). I figure I'm gonna get raped at the dealer.

2. I did not like the stockers to start off with. I use winter michelin x-ice. However, in the summer my traction with my 2200 boat, on sand and grass is not all that great (my 2000 outback never had a problem - suspect LSD).

So, I've read all the threads on the board. Nothing popped out.

Any recommendations for new tires for 17" rims that are a bit more aggressive?

Tx.

Joe
