Default What do you guys think of my xs?

Hello all. I'm new here to subarus and I have been wanting to lower my Forester XS. I'm going to be ordering the parts soon and I just wanted to make sure this will work.

Again this i not an XT, but an XS.

2004 STI springs
02-03 WRX Sedan KYB GR2s
spacers for the rear.

Is this all I need?

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you mean the TiC Scooby921 spacers, or Paranoid Fab spacers?

You need the first ones and may want to consider the second.

I might be wrong here, but I thought early WRX springs were really soft; in other words, it will be an underdampened suspension, and the struts might not live too long with sprigns much harder than what they were designed for.

I did a search on the Paranoid Fab spacers, but didn't get anything but a video. How are they different from the scooby ones?

The TIC's are strut spacers, while the paranoid fabrication are tophat spacers.

Oh shoot I forgot about the saggy rear problem with the sti springs. Thanks for pointing that out. I've been trying to learn so much about Forester suspension over the past few days. It's hard to piece together a good setup with a good drop without spending a fortune on coilovers. I want the drop of the sti springs and don't want to go any lower because I don't want to have problems with camber, so on. Do you guys have any other ideas as far as springs go so that I don't have the saggy rear, but still get the same drop?

Oh so those are the HDPE spacers that I've heard people talking about. That will help the saggy rear right?

You could always go with a aftermarket wagon specific spring. Or if your lucky find someone selling a complete wagon take off.

Good idea. Aftermarket wagon specific springs for the wrx right? That would be a more aggressive drop, which is what I want, but without have to worry about camber problems. What do you guys think about Eibach Prokit for wrx wagon? Do you think that would give a similar drop without having to add more components to fix possible camber problems?

I'd stick with the STi springs and just add a set of the paranoid fab spacers.

Should I do a 1/4 inch spacer for the sag or more?

Dude I love the stance of your X! I've been wanting to ask you about your setup. If I did that to my XS, will I need to do a bunch of other stuff to my suspension to avoid messing things up? How's the ride and clearance?

Got your pm. Thanks a lot. Just gotta decide on what to do now. Did you have to use camber plates of anything like that?
