Default lowring springs

Well everyone, i apologize if i sound too much like a noob, but I have a question about lowering springs.

Im not looking to slam my car to the gorund, i would just like to get rid of the giant wheel well gap, you know?
Do I need forester specific springs, or would i have to get wrx springs for my 08 XT?
thanks for the help everyone.

Best with stock struts is Swift spring.
I would not do WRX spring with stock strut. Also if you carry heavy load WRX spring will sag very bad.

Not unless you're buying springs designed for a different MY.

I've been running the Swifts on my '07 for over 40k miles with the stock struts and top hats and they have been just fine! P225/55VR-17 Advans help fill the wheel wells too.

No new tophats needed unless you're planning to mount them on an SF.

05 does not either (03-08 does not need new tophats, but 98-02 will, so it is recommended those owners just buy 03-08 takeoffs or 03-08 GR2s)
