Default Identify these "pink" springs for me please, please, please!!!

Hey!

Some of you know I received the wrong pink springs from South Coast Subaru about 2 months ago. I purchased brand new FSTI pinks. I put them on and my Forester was slammed almost 4 inches. I knew right away I must have got the JDM STI Sedan springs. Well, thanks to Toddlamp, I got a great deal (FSTI pinks) from him on a used set off his XT and my Forester is where I want it now.

So... I got to sell my JDM pink springs on several forums and have several people lined up to buy, I get replies on iwsti that these are USDM springs. I guess the JDM ones have blue on them above the STI logo. Mine is yellow. Have the colors changed or are these USDM pinks?

I appreciate your knowledge on this one. Here are a few links from some conversations and a pic of my actual springs for sale.

Thanks!!!

Why didn't the place you bought them from step up to the plate and correct their mistake?

I did contact the guy at first. I told him I'd get back with him.

I want to know why a performance shop, (subaru dealer in this case) can't identify what they're selling? They'd be wrong 3 times in my case.

Whether I get my money back or re-sell them I don't care.

IIRC, Ferdie bought these for a friend as a present..unfortunately his friend wrecked his car prior to his gift giving... he told me this in person. I would get back in contact w/him, and ask for a refund, or credit for parts at SCS. I would think that there is a paper trail somewhere along the line.. he made the mistake, and should find his reciepts, order forms, emails, etc. and settle this himself. He has a rep to uphold, I don't see why he wouldn't do this..good luck, I'm sure it will work out.

Looks like 04+ STi pink springs specific to the WRX. Most likely sedan springs.

His are USDM. You can tell by the paint marks. Mine are JDM Pinks with the distinctive blue paint. His have another colour on them.

The JDM Pinks will have blue dots. Those springs should be the USDM Pinks.

Here's a post on nastysock by a guy that knows his springs:

Any chance I could check that out sometime? I'm pondering springs, and the FSTi pinks are tied with the Swifts for what I want. Seeing it in person would be very helpful!

Hope you get your other spring deal worked out. This thread was very informative!
