Just curious. I'm gearing up for my install and hoping my 18x9.5's BBS RS Reps. with a 40et will clear without a spacer.

STi BBS's
Enkei NT03+M 18x9.5 +40 They are not on yet but I had to order 10mm for the fronts. Going to see how much clearance I have and possibly mill them down to as close as i can get them. I dont like the idea of +30 on 5x100 hubs. |

Anyone else have any input? I may go see if I can get a set of spacers just in case I need them. can't be without a car for a week while I wait for spacers to show up. |

That's good to know but my concern is what changes in the offset/backspacing category when you add in 1.5" wider wheels than what you're running. My wheels are 18x9.5, and while clearance to my coilover is good in the front and tight in the rear, I'd prefer not to have to push the wheel out with expensive and wheel-bearing-destroying spacers/adapters.

Here is a older thread dealing with this issue Wheels that fit the STi - NASIOC
I have the xxr 527's 18x8.75 +35 and they do not require spacers, but the my motegi sp10 18x8 +40 required a 3mm spacer. |

You can also use the google custom search for "OEM wheels that fit the forester," and if they say they clear Brembo's they should. Might be cheaper than aftermarket wheels too :)

Yeah, I've thought about that. But I already have aftermarket wheels. Unfortunately, with different spoke patterns, concaves, etc., a lot of these offset calculators only tell you the back spacing and how much the wheel will move in and out (toward the strut/coilovers and toward the fender), and not what wheels will clear the calipers. I know how much larger the calipers are than the stocks, and my wheels are 18's with a 40et, so I wasn't nervous at all until I started thinking about it and losing sleep over it. Haha. There's not a lot of extra room between my caliper and the mesh spoke of my wheels, making me think I just might need a small spacer. 5mm at the most, hopefully.
