Who Keyed me???

Like everyone I hate the feel of the Subaru brakes. My first car was a 73 Mustang without power brakes. So I am used to having good pedal feel. I believe that my biggest problem is the dual stage brake booster. I prefer a nice linear feel during the travel of the pedal.
So, my questions: What is needed to convert to a Single Stage Brake Booster with a larger (hopefully wrx 17/16" master cylinder)? Has anyone done this on a Subaru? If I go with slightly larger rear rotors 290 let's say - will that shift the balance too far to the rear? I am not worried about brake balance during dry weather but during really bad winter weather. I don't know if the brake balance is fixed in the Forester (05 FXT 4EAT) or if it is variable. I also think that Racing Brake or one of the other vendors should include a solution to the pedal feel issue in their kits. I have read many posts where people throw on brembos lines etc - and although everything is much better they are still not happy with the pedal feel. Discuss, Jesse
