Also Spot, no problems bleeding with having that high-point in your tubing spool? I'm thinking of a banjo bolt solution to eliminate the high-point.

I looked at a ton of fittings and this was the only solution I found, I haven't had any issue with trapped air afaik

Can just the stock master cylinder from a 4EAT Forester be used with a STI brake booster? That way there is no need to mess with the brake lines and such?

I wonder if I were to order the oem line for a manual car and swap it over along with the correct manual mc if it would work?

I would say so but the other end presents the same issue. Unless you also change the ABS block. Then I think you also lose the VDC

Manual brake hard lines would hook up to the hill holder, then from the hill holder to the brake MC, so no

remove stock MC & BB, cut the factory 1/4" lines off a couple inches from the elbow. Drop a 1/4" flare nut on and re-flare.

I had to buy: two1/4" Flare nuts, two 1/4" to 3/16" reducers, two 3/16" to 10mm adapters, one 6" piece of hardline with two flare nuts on it. This would be much easier if someone made a M12 to M10 inverted flare reducer.

I had to bend (180*) a short line to go from the top/upward port down to the factory line. Assemble all the brass fittings to make it all fit. I also had a JDM booster that had a push rod that was an inch too long so I had to cut it with the Dremel under the dash and cut more threads onto it, not fun.

Anyway...it works awesome.

I have a 2007 forester with vdc, 4eat. Please indicate what i need to install sti bb+mc based on http://www.brakequip.com/products.html. There are pics and it will be easier for me to understand what exactly is necessary.

You need to make custom hard lines to attach to the master cylinder. I think you might need a brake line that converts from 12MM (the lines in the car), and 10MM to attach to the STi master cylinder.

I'd been wondering about the 4eat issue for a while. Thanks for all the great info everybody.

05' FXT FTW!
