McLovin the forester XT

Hey guys,
I need to put on my wrx suspension next month. I need to swap it in. I have all the parts and I need to install struts, springs, and a rear sway bar. I have a garage and all the tools necessary (although a better jack would be sweet). I would like to think I'm a quick learner. I would love to help you with whatever you want to install although fluids changing is something I have to clear with my landlord first. I can supply the beer, pizza, and cigars lol. Anybody think they can help?

UPDATE

We'll be meeting on Saturday, May 12.

Location: pleiad7 & Roo's place in Sebastopol (pm pleiad7 for directions if you've never been to one of these before)
Start time: 11 am


Please
-Bring some food, snacks, or drinks to share
-If you have your own tools, please bring them (we have airtools for the tougher jobs)
-If you're performing any maintenance that involves changing fluids, please bring your own container to take away and recycle old fluids afterwards
-Please take your cast-off parts home

Here's a list of what we could use for the meet, if any of you would be so kind to bring some:

• bottled water
• sodas
• ice
• beer
• some side dishes would be great - baked beans, salads, cheese, fruit, cookies, chips & dip
  
  OR we also accept contributions to the BBQ kitty at silke (at) sonic (dot) net - think ribs & tri-tip!

I have a spring compressor and could help you guys out! I should have me car back in 2 weeks so maybe sometime after that??

I need to get out of Tahoe too and this seems like a good opportunity haha.

Sorry, I'll be pretty busy for the foreseeable future with moving, etc. AutoZone will rent you spring compressors for free with a deposit. When I did mine, I got help but there are tons of tutorials online that will walk through through the process.

Things you'll want on hand for sure. PB Blaster, torque wrench, breaker bar. I have a couple of brand new camber bolts for the front struts in case you strip them. Just look up one of those tutorials for all you'll need on hand.

Haha. Silke, speaking for myself I feel awkward offering your house for a meet day! If you are looking for suggestions what about the first weekend in May? I can't believe it's been a year since the last one!

First weekend in May should be fine. I think that would actually work even better than April, since we're still working on cleaning up/mowing the front yard, laying down some gravel in the driveway, etc.
