Today was awesome. Thank you Gary for organizing this, and Subaru for sponsoring. There were 4 FXTs there

Brandon, Nicole and Mike -- it was great to see you guys.

Stan

Good to see you too Stan. We had a blast.

Gary, thanks for the ride along - that helped clarify some things for me. Your brakes are certainly impressive!

We are glad that everyone had a good time. It was a lot of organizing to get this done and a lot of prep work to get everything completed. I would also like to thank Hunpin from Unlimited Laps for running a smooth track day with very little incidents.

If anybody needs any parts after this event, just let me know and I will do the best that I can on price for the participants. :)

Thanks,
Gary

PS. We will be at Thill again with Unlimited Laps in October again. Hope to see some of you out there again. :)

Pads, I can help with easily. What fluid were you using?

We use NEO and have had very good results with it. I do not think anybody I knew who ran NEO over the weekend had fluid boiling problems, including me. :)

Thanks,
Gary

I was running the NEO fluid w/ stock calipers, goodridge lines and Hawk HPS pads. Didn't boil the fluid or experience significant fade all day (minor and gradually building fade during each session, but it was predictable and manageable by leaving extra stopping distance). That behavior is much different from the same setup w/ Superblue fluid I was running previously which I boiled on a spirited mountain twisty drive a few months earlier (pedal dropped to the floor without warning). NEO FTW!

Looks like fun. Would have liked to gone.

Maybe next time I can show all the SGs how we SF5s do it on the track.

Motul is not that great of a fluid as you might imagine. I have never seen the motul blue? The only fluid that I know is blue is ATE Super Blue. It works well for the street, but when you start to push your car, it will give up quite quick. It might have that high flashpoint but it cannot sustain consistency when you hit high temperatures. Will PM you pad pricing tonight.

Thanks,
Gary

PS We only use two types of fluid. NEO is our primary one. The other is AP Racing. Both are really good fluids and worth the money you pay for them.
