Default 1st Annual Sea-Scooby-Q 08 (BBQ and meet) 8/31/08

After getting plenty of interest, I decided to throw an end of summer BBQ at my place.

When: Sunday, August 31st
Time: 2pm-???
Location: 2019 SE 22nd Place, Renton WA

I have a private road behind my house that can accomidate a ton of cars, and I have a good size backyard for hanging out. My backyard fence has a double gate that you can drive thru, so depending on the number attending we may just have everyone park right in the yard. I'm sure people will want to check out each others cars and that. I also have a large swingset/slide, so feel free to brings the kids. Wives/Girlfriends are more than welcome too. I know my wife doesn't want to listen to car talk all day! This will be a very family friendly get together.

*Note- The entrance to the road behind my place is kind of hard to see from 116th. I'm not sure if it is marked or not. Just look for the gravel/dirt road next to the church. I will stuff to clean cars so we can get some nice photos. *

I'll provide burgers/buns/condiments and a few drinks, but please feel free to bring stuff too! I know Tre36 will have to bring some of his "World Famous" ribs I keep hearing about. If you have a chair or two, that would be great. I do have quite a bit of seating, but I'd rather have too much than not enough

For those of you that live far away but would like to attend, you bring your tent and campout. There is plenty of room for that too.

If you are going to attend, or think you might attend please list the following

Vehicle type
Number of guests
items your bringing (chips, soda etc.)
comments or questions

Here is a map of how to get to my backyard from the front.

Guest list:

You know, given enough time off work I would do this just cause. I've driven solo coast to coast before in a much crummier car. Would be quite enjoyable behind the wheel of an XT. For now I'll stick to my East Coast roadtrip later this month. Quite seriously I may be on the West coast sometime next summer and drive up the PCH stopping to say high along the way. Enjoy your BBQ guys !

now THIS is tempting!

i have to be in Utah for work earlier in the week, and I have VIP passes for Bumbershoot (i'll probably have extras if anybody wants to go).

I think I may have to come and represent the East Coast....

That would be sweet if you could swing on by! I'd love to meet some loyal East Coast FoF members!

I'm picking out the new grill this week, so as long as the weather stays nice things we will be set!

If anyone remembers, try to bring some camping chairs. I think I have about 10-12 outdoors chairs, but a few more can't hurt.

04 FXT stg 2
Probably just me
Not sure what I am bringing yet
-- Not 100% sure if I can make it. We have something else scheduled for the same time, so if I do bail on the other event it will just be me as she has to go with the kid.

Tre36 doesn't get off work until 6pm, so you can come later too if that works.

Vehicle type: 2003 "Fender Mod" X-treme
Number of guests: Me + Boss + 12 lbs of terror (3)
items your bringing: Kalbi (shortribs)
comments or questions:

Sea-scooby, you cool if I marinate the ribs and drop it at your house the night before? That will save me a trip from driving home after work. And you okay with me bringing the family dog? The dog is people and yard friendly.

You can drop the ribs off the night before, and I don't see a problem bringing the dog either.
