Will this ignition coil pack fit my forester? 01

NEW IGNITION COIL PACK *FITS ALL SUBARU 2.5L 4cyl UF240 | eBay

it says legacy, outback etc... but no forester, but dont they all have same engines?.

when i was replacing the spark plugs etc, anyway, i unbooted them to see how the spark was from each coil, and 3 out of 4 were strong, 1 was weak and diminished spark coming from the coil, so if i buy this, think it'l run better? has a slight misfire.

When you did the testing, did you unplug & let it spark to the cable or did you use a jumper wire to ground?

we had a horrible misfire, so we were seeing which one was causing it, so would pull off one then if wasnt it, put it back on, then did another, found the missing one, and it has bad spark. it

There's still the possiblity that the spark plug wire could be bad, unless you replaced it or swaped it with one that is know good.

As to the coil pack, it looks the same, but unless you can get the part number to match it to the factory/OEM part number, you can't be 100% sure. You could ask the seller & I'd make sure it can be returned. I believe the Subaru part number you want is 22433AA410, try a internet search to see what that comes up with.

new plugs and leads, only thing not new is the coil pack. and 3 of the 4 are arching strong, the 4th is almost diminished entirely, if its not that, what else contributes to the spark to the coil?

It sounds like you've done the trouble shooting!

One last item to check. Have you checked the coil pack wiring harness plug & socket for corrosion? we had that on our '03 X & it caused misfires.

I always try to look for the low cost or zero cost fix first, but if everything has been tried, it's time to spend some money.

If it were me, I'd go new as well. Unless you know the seller, you never know what you're going to get!
