Default Replacement gaskets for Borla Rep Headers

so I just ordered a set of borla reps off ebay, and after reading a bunch on here I know that it would be best to replace the crappy gaskets that they supply. I am planning on buying these grimmspeed ones:

GrimmSpeed

My question is, where can I get a replacement for the other gasket? Does grimmspeed make this one (couldn't find it on the site)? I'm not sure what it's called, but it's the gasket right after the header in between the header and mid pipe/cats or whatever.

Sorry if this has already been addressed, I did a search with no luck.

It should be a '2.25" two-bolt exhaust gasket'.

One of Grimspeed's downpipe gaskets might work, but I couldn't find any specs on the size.

Dealership or exhaust shop would be another suggestion.

Thanks for the response, I asked grimmspeed and they said they do not carry the gasket. Will have to find one elsewhere and probably use the horrible one provided for now...

I will check out Fel-pro, thanks for the recommendation.

Another question:

Because I'm a noob, it appears that the grimmspeed gaskets I got (although they are very nice) are for a turbo application and are 2" whereas my header has 1.5" pipes. Is this okay? Here's a photo...

it should be ok. it says on the website that its for turbo applications, but compare it to the ones supplied with the manifold.

and when fitting the new manifold youre gonna have run to a smaller oil filter, napa gold 1356 for a 90-93 miata. its slightly narrower then the subaru one.

also youre gonna have to heat/bend and pull to the the manifold to fit properly, that is NORMAL. goodluck. pm me with any details. just did mine yesterday.

Thanks a lot for the tips. I ran out and got the filter tonight.

That is not always the case. I'm using an oversized Mobil 1 filter, it barely fits. The blue Subaru one fit fine, but I didn't get to the dealership for more before I did my oil change.

Mount the UEL to the cat first, then driver's head, and finally the passenger head. My passenger side flange was off ~1/2", but it was easier to move it into place than trying to rotate the cat flange 15*. I used some slight persuasion with a pry bar to move the flange over the header bolts.

true. but every manifold is different. yours might fit perfect, might not. either way, expect to spend a little time on it.

I really wish I could say that I installed it myself, but I just don't have the tools or ramps/jacks to hold the car up and do the work properly. I love working on stuff but need to collect more tools. Not to mention that it would save me a ton of money.

Onto the results:

Headers went on perfectly with no issues. Used a Mobil filter for a 90-93 miata like you said and it worked like a charm.

The sound is not EXACTLY what I was hoping for, as the rest of the exhaust is still stock... But I definitely got the rumble! Sounds really good, can't wait to get the rest of the exhaust done to really unleash the boxers potential.

Good deal man. With the stock setup you're not gonna get much more sound. I really recommend a custom 2.25 cat back and Mangaflow muffler. I got the perfect sound with that setup but do your taste might be different. I've got a few videos for reference if youd like. The sound is super deep, not raspy at all. No drone on the highway, Sweet rumble.
