Did you have any problems with mud?
(and how tall are you?)

Do they affect the clearance any?

And does the shipped price still count if they have to come all the way down to Texas (78666)?

I have had very little problems with mud, the only place mud gathers is under the car where the mounting bracket attaches to the vehicle. Clearance is affected very little with these as they are basically on the side of the vehicle not under. There may be a 1/2" loss of clearance on the sides of the vehicle but these do provide protection to a degree. I am 6'4" and I didn't have any issues but my wife is 5'3" and she would brush her leg against them getting in to the car. I will check on shipping to Texas and let you know. The price may go up slightly due to it being a large package and fairly heavy. I have since removed the plastic cladding along the rocker of my Forester and I fabricated some 1/4" aluminum angle that I replaced it with for nice strong protection but I lost the step which I would love to have back.

Thanks for the interest.

Brian

Pics of these installed?

What is the weight capacity of these? I mean, can I really use them as steps?
