there's a solenoid switch and a rocker that locks in certain slots, the old shifter had the button which controlled a small rod which moved that rocker up and down. I found out if the rocker is down all the time it won't interfere with anything and the solenoid will move but be useless. After ghetto rigging that I was able to bypass the key locking In the ignition and and having to use the brake to move the shifter.
Although its not entirely safe since I can move it from p to r,n,d without having to engage the brake, I do take caution and be extra careful not to bump it, I always make sure I press the brakes in as its second nature anyways.
Sorry if its not a very good explanation, I can make a guide tomorrow if I have some time if your interested.

Added new Audio system this weekend--2009

This weekend I replaced the head unit in my 09. I installed a kenwood DDX419 BT unit with Sirius/XM module.

The install was very straight forward. Crutchfield provided all the parts needed. Total install time, including wiring the harness adapter to the HU harness was about 1.5 hours. I am not happy with me selection of where I placed the XM antenna unit and may go back and run it to a more obscure location.

Unit sounds very good--A nice upgrade to the factory unit and it fits perfectly and looks at home in the car. I will probably replace the door speakers a few months from now.

Bought legacy takeoffs to swap into the SH. Should be a 1.5 drop and bolt right up. Maybe I can get them in next weekend since it'll warm up a bit. I is excited!

Anyone know if there are sagging issues? Should I buy spacers and do it all at once?
