Went and found various gravel/muddy roads today

Dropped my SF off at the body shop (rear ended on Halloween).

Should be a simple procedure with an overnight stay.

It's the muffler. Yes, the muffler. I already did it too. Sounded like a vacuum leak or something to me. was starting to drive me crazy. Muffler looked fine from the outside. I believe it starts breaking down on the inside, causing the noise. Forum to the rescue. If you can live with the noise it's not harmful so you can budget for it and wait a little while if you have to.

If you want to hear the boxer rumble, get a muffler shop to weld on a magnaflow muffler, not much different than aftermarket OEM options.

Had a.... gentleman force his way in in front of me in traffic, apparently didn't like how close behind him I was (You know... because he just forced himself in) and he stood on his brakes, causing me to hit him.

This being PA I didn't try to argue with him because I'm at fault regardless of circumstances. I don't have collision coverage so this is going to be out of pocket.

Anyone know a good western PA local source for a hood, bumper, headlight, etc?

I just now ordered a Rola roof basket for the Forester. We're taking my wife's Outback on the 48hrs of TriState run in January, so we'll use it on the Outback for that weekend.

PMP Auto Specialties in Macungie, PA. Don't know how far away that is from you, but they have good service and pricing and Peter's a good guy to do business with. They're a vendor on Nasioc, "pmpautogroup": Pmpautogroup

Edit: There have been some people who have been unhappy with his response time and such, but overall he has good ratings.

Bought some Valvoline 75W-90 gear oil for the center and rear diffs, and also deleted my power steering by getting a 26" belt and bypassing the pump. It should give my arms a good workout for sure.

My dad is in the Lancaster/Reamstown area if you ever head East. He builds street rods professionally, air cooled VW's on the side, but would get you straightened out just fine.

Unfortunately both of these options are "all day round trip" and even if they're the best of the best with the best prices on the planet, I'm sure every small town I passed through would have a cop or ten who'd love to ticket me for something with the hood the way it is or the headlights out of alignment or...

In fact, that's why I parked it at my grandma's and borrowed her van to get home until daylight today. No sense risking a ticket over it, too.

Picked up my Foz this morning.

New rear bumper cover is the shiniest part on the wagon now.

Aran, sorry for the damage. What did you hit? That damage is pretty high. Is the core support bent?

I was going to offer my time to pull the parts off an SF in Cincy, but it is gone.

replace the missing bolt that fell out of my tbelt cover..everything looks good and sound now!!

and this came in the mail! 08 havc control...slick!

and hopefully my custom pitchmount that i bought from ebay comes in by tomorrow!
