Shipping car from Boston to Los Angeles

Hello All

I know I told a bunch of you guys that I was going to drive my car across the country, but I want to save my car some miles and myself some strength for the move. I'm shipping my car instead and was wondering if anyone had any experience doing this. I have heard good things about Dependable Auto Shippers ? Your Auto Transport Company ? Car Shipping Quote Online , Is there anything I should be worried about also? Take everything inside the car out. etc?

Any thoughts/suggestions/experiences would be great! :-)

Oh yeah and another thing... since I'm running stage 2 on my car. Would it be bad to switch it to the 91 octane map now?

Thanks All

Best,
Andrew

This should cover it...

I'd empty the car of anything with value, and I'd use the valet map on the car too.

Looks like sea-scooby paid $1050, but most of his quotes were in the $1250 range. Since gas prices are higher, I would imagine that shipping costs have as well.

If you don't mind the milage, I will drive it out for you for less than the cost of shipping.

I am a mature, 32 year old driver with 300k coverage with USAA. I haven't had any serious accidents (a fender bender 10 years ago) and no speeding tickets in about the same timeframe

I miss my turbo, and my 6-speeds of fun.
