On my '09 I have a rattle that is only there some of the time. It is coming from the passenger side and it sounds like it is between the 2 side doors. I can't seem to pinpoint where it is coming from. Any one else have this one?

There's a good chance it's in the mechanism that allows the front passenger seatbelt to be raised or lowered. I've got an intermittent rattle there in my Legacy.

Solved the little rattle!

My 09 XT had a little noise (rattle) when going around 40-45mph. I traced it down the the passenger side. It's the bottom cover to the glove box that seems to be bit loose. I added a small piece of tape to secure it to the other plastic side. Solved!

I found the one similar to what you describe as my seat belt buckle flapping with the windows down, sun roof open. A little velcro on the belt buckle and the side of the seat fixed it.

My 09 was completely rattle free until 1700 miles. Driving down I5 on smooth road there is a rattle inside the drivers door. It seems to be coming from the console for window and door controls but hard to tell while driving. If I lean my knee on the control console it reduces the noise. Its pretty easy to duplicate so hopefully it will be relatively easy to solve. Otherwise the car is very solid.
