1. 94 Geo Prizm (WOOT! Best memories, but definately not the best car)

2. 98 Acura Integra GSR (Favorite car - nimble, agile, and fun! Too bad it was a constant theft target)

3. 05 Forester XT - Still growing on me... Maybe another year it may very well be my favorite car?

Here I go...I'm 31 and been driving since 16. First car at 17y.o.
In order of purchase:
1) 92 Toyota 4X4 extracab sold it with 180k - I still miss it (bought 5/92, sold 6/00)
2) 88 Mazda 323 (wife's car when we married) - fun little car (given to wife 8/97)
3) 99 Toyota Camry (wife's car) - blandest car ever but a good driver - I ran it into a light pole last Dec. and totalled it (blizzard conditions) - convinced me to buy a Subaru (bought 9/99, died 12/05)
4) 98 Toyota PreRunner extracab - nearly a lemon (bought 6/00, 6/01)
5) 96 Toyota 4X2 extracab - traded PreRunner for it and got back $2000! (traded 6/01, sold 11/03)
6) 93 VW Eurovan bought for a work van - towtruck (indicative of my VW experience) busted powersteering pump then it slowly died (bought 10/03, traded 7/04)
7) 99 VW Eurovan started as work van ended up family van - great for road trips, when it was reliable (bought 7/04, sold 7/06)
8) 01 Subaru Forester S - bought this after I totalled the Camry - wife's (bought 12/05)
9) 02 Subaru Forester S - Sold the 99 Eurovan and bought this - mine (bought 9/06)
10) Next car - my wife likes the Tribecas, (buying 2010)

I'm 19
'85 mr2 T-top- first car in 04
'02 mustang GT convertible- Dad bought for himself but hated it and gave it to me
'04 FXT- Dad bought for himself after the lease was up on his outback, he got a prius and gave the FXT to me.
(My parents had other cars that I drove during this time, but these are the ones that I owned)

The mr2 was my favorite, but no airbags and it wasn't very practical.(Probably the best handling car I have ever been in)-Hoping to get another first generation MR2 this year.
The Mustang probably has the best memories as I had that the longest during highschool(first girlfriend etc), and it was a convertible, it was fun but a terrible car.
I love the fxt, will probably be the most memorable after a little longer in it. (After driving it 10 hours at 30 mph from Rochester to Boston and getting to Boston at 4 am in a huge snowstorm, I couldn't ask for a better more capable car.)

There are a lot of memories... But the Merc Gelendewagen brings the most fun,
Mazda Mx3 new and a nice friend
Volvo V70 the most unsexy car there is, from A to B with no feelings
LAndrover Freelander (be ware, it never works though it never totally breaks down, but its allways damn expansive.
LAncia, italian madness
Buick PA, a blind? woman thought this was one of the nicest Jaggs....
Honda Prelude fun car
Honda Accord blasting engine
Ford Escort crappy
Ford Scorpio crappy
BMW 320 crappy
Peugeot 505 comfy
BMW 518 crappy

My turn...

1) 1986 Volvo 740 Turbo Sedan (bought from the 'rents in '00 with 130k on the clock)

2) '02 WRX Wagon (early build, and was very much a "friday" car - had heaps of problems with the rear suspension and interior panels)

3) '02 Golf TDI (traded in the WRX due to high insurance and fuel costs, since the amount of driving I was doing went through the roof)

4) '98 Forsester (sold the golf for $1k less than I paid for it when I went from driving 30k/year to ~5k)

5) NYC Subway

My fave... it's a tossup. Probably the volvo, since it has the best memories. oddly enough (and I can't believe I didn't realize this earlier) the forester was the first N/A car I owned.

  1. 1959 Chevrolet Apache
  2. 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlas Supreme
  3. 1987 Pontiac Acadian
  4. 1993 Mazda Precidia
  5. 1994 Mazda B3000
  6. 1995 Mazda B4000 4x4
  7. 1996 Chevrolet C-1500
  8. 1997 Dodge Stratus
  9. 2003 Hyundai Elantra
  10. 2002 SUBARU FORESTER!

The Apache I have fond memories of because it was my first vehicle - I couldn't afford the repairs or my dream of restoring it, so I had to dump it after six months. My Precidia was my first new car, and unfortunately I got the addiction to new car smell, buying 5 new cars in four years. Because of that I actually have a soft spot for the Dodge - I ended up paying $605/month for 5 years because of my stupidity - but I drove the Dodge for two years payment free.....and I swore I would never pay for any longer than two years for any car I buy......

.....we'll see if it holds true......
