184ish on the 2003. Just had rear wheel bearing replaced. Same one from last year, Im guessing it wasn't done properly last time. Hopefully this one is good for at least 50k miles. Transmission still good. Engine p good though it doesn't sound too happy starting in the cold. It has a block heater, battery blanket, and battery tender jr to help with that. Replaced the radiator a few thousand miles ago.

Interested to see if it will do 300k without something major. In retrospect, given what the head gasket job cost, maybe I should've just had a new shortblock put in at that point.

Anyway, we have several years during which buying another car will be less than ideal so even if the engine or trans goes we'll probably replace and move on. Overall they are quite reliable and fairly simple to work on. As long as it remains safe and mostly reliable, its still cheaper to make repairs than buy a new car. Hopefully aren't near the point of diminishing returns yet.

Ordered it, so it was brand new when I bought it. Put all but 6 miles on there myself. Hoping I don't get to 60k before my second anniversary in May though.

I bought the car with 152k and have since replaced the Timing belt, Water Pump, Clutch, Throwout Bearing, Shifter Bushings.

She's in need of a new Stereo, Ball Joints and Struts all around. I'll also be PlastiDipping her WRB when the weather warms up.

2002 S 5 speed, 263,000 miles.

Between the previous and myself, damn near everything has been replaced. I purchased it with 212k on it after the head gaskets and timing belt were done. I have since done the tires, most of the sensors under the hood (knock, mass air flow, etc.), radiator, all 4 struts, rotors, ball joints, front axles, inner and outer tie rods, and a rebuilt brake caliper (which actually caused most of the front end repairs on this list), and O2 sensors.

2 repairs that caught me off guard were a broken drive shaft U joint and a broken rear sway bar. Never anticipated something quite like that.

The only 'upgrades' on it are the new sway bar (20 or 22mm, can't remember) and Magnaflow high flow cat - definitely gave it a nice little bit of pickup that it was missing before.

It's cost me way more money than I ever anticipated, but I'm in love with it for whatever reason!

Crossed 221k with my 2002 Forester S Premium, and have been so impressed with this dude that I went out and bought another to replace my son's totaled Silverado. Picked up a 1998 Forester S with 221k as well.
