Forester vs. Cayenne vs. X6

I would love to see a race between a turbocharged XT and the other performance SUV's...anybody know if that's been done slash where a video of that could be?

Or at least a comparison of all the performance SUV's.

Cheers,
Nils

On the highway the Cayenne S is extremely fast. I caravanned with one years back when I had my Jetta GLX which could hit 240km easily. The Cayenne from 100 up would run away from me every time.

On paper the XT is quicker to 60 than a Cayenne, on the highway I bet the Cayenne takes the win. Aerodynamics are certainly better .

what he said.
XT > Cayenne S 0-60mph
XT < Cayenne S over 60mph

there's a video on YouTube showing the 04/05 XT being faster 0-60. and i saw an article somewhere sayin that the Sports XT is 2nd to the Cayenne S Turbo.

Unless somethign has changed the XT is the quickest "SUV" 0-60.

One street over from me a guy has a Lamborghini Gallardo. One of these days we're going to find out who's quicker

Perhaps on the highway, but what about around turns etc. I'd like to see a proper topgear piece on this

Keep in mind the Cayenne is still a Porsche after all. Its supposed to have excellent handling. The XT has ok handling and the OEM tires suck.

everywhere on YouTube (including 5th gear), they mention how the Cayenne really is an anywhere vehicle and it really outperforms.

The SRT-8 grand cherokee is quicker to 60. 0-60 in around 4.8 (about the same as an STI) and it has tons more topend. it goes SRT8>FXT>Cayenne Turbo.
The cayenne is better in many aspects however, 6/4pot brakes, much better interior etc.

04xt/4eat, 16g, STI bits and bobs

Played with a Cayenne S driven by the owner of a Porsche dealer and his wife. That thing can move its mass around quite quickly, and corners pretty darn well too. I know this from firsthand experience, trust me. I can't disclose the speeds, as it would break some rules, and I'd wind up in the dumpster over it...but we weren't quite at the speed limit.

Please feel free to support our Subaru parts vendors here.
