Let's keep this simple. Sound rating from 1-10. 1 being stock and 10 being overwhelming loud. How would you rate your set up and please add fitment comments or any other misc things. If you have a vid clip, please include it!

Follow this format.

Exhaust: enter name
Aftermarket Jpipe: y/n
Loudness Rating: 1-10
Fitment: modifications needed to fit?
Comments: misc

Exhaust: 2013 Subaru WRX STi Catback Exhaust (CBE)
Aftermarket Jpipe: N
Loudness Rating: 4
Fitment: modifications needed to fit? Yes, trim lower bumper to accommodate dual tips on each side. Exhaust needed to be extended at the elbow because it was sitting too short underneath the rear bumper. So, a 2" or so pipe was welded for extension.
Comments: A lot of drone between 1k-2k. Very annoying and loud. Other then the drone, exhaust note was deeper and louder than stock when accelerating. At highway speeds sounds like stock.
Video clip: video clip to come.

Exhaust: Invidia Q300 Titanium tip CBE for 11-14 WRX/STi
Aftermarket Jpipe: N
Loudness Rating: 3
Fitment: modifications needed to fit: Yes, trim lower bumper to accommodate dual tips on each side
Comments: You really have to listen for drone if you tried. Drone is pretty much non-existent. Deeper sound than stock 13 STi CBE but not as loud. When cruising speeds, it sounds just like stock. You have to punch it to know you have aftermarket system.

Exhaust: 3" quad tip double wall Nameless muffler delete + 15WRX mid pipe
Aftermarket Jpipe: N
Loudness Rating: 7
Fitment: Yes, trim lower bumper to accommodate dual tips on each side
Comments: This is my 3rd exhaust and the Nameless deletes are by far the loudest follow by the 13 STi CBE and q300 being the quietest. Nice combo of deep and loud note throughout RPMS. Not as deep as q300 but not far behind. Drone is there but it is very manageable. Highway speeds, no drone.

I love this exhaust! I does sound a bit on the louder side compared to all the other exhausts. However, the look of this is sweet! Time to start saving up bit by bit.

Thank you all for posting vids and your combinations!:bananapowerslide:

Exhaust: MXP Performance Quad Tip Exhaust (wrx/sti sedan exhaust)
Aftermarket Jpipe: no
Loudness Rating: 5
Fitment: modifications needed to fit? Needed to trim bumper and inside corners since the catback is squarish.
Comments: Much quieter than my invidia n1. I actually can hear wind noise. Nice grumble and power with the mxp.

Whoooop!

Exhaust: Perrin mid/y-pipe from 2009 WRX Sedan with 2015 WRX mufflers
Aftermarket Jpipe: Not yet
Loudness Rating: Below 2.5k rpm - 7 Above 2.5k rpm - 3
Fitment: Slight extensions to Perrin y-pipes. Trimming of bumper for the tips.
Comments: Love the sound at low rpms, higher up it sounds stock. I do have bad exhaust leak at my axle back gaskets that I'll address and see if things change.

Exhaust: ETS 2015 WRX Quad Catback Burnt Tips
Aftermarket Jpipe: No
Loudness Rating: 6.5/10
Fitment: Trimming is required on the lower portion of the rear bumper.

Comments: Quad set ups really look amazing on the SJ. It looks harder then it is to trim it. I love the sound at WOT and banging through #S mode's 8 gears. The tips always get compliments as well.

Exhaust: Nameless Axleback with 5" Mufflers and 4" double walled tips
Aftermarket Jpipe: No
Loudness Rating: about 5-6
Fitment: Direct install without any modifications

Comments: Looks really good with 4" tips and good sound without being to overbearing....not much noticeable drone to boot....and sounds really good when downshifting with S#

I'll try to get a sound clip or video....kinda still cold here in AntarctiChicago.....

Forgot to Edit this before......Have been running a complete Nameless Catback system for over a year now.....LOVE it! Sounds awesome and still not overbearing.......

This is the setup I'm looking at! I would love to hear some videos once you get a chance... Maybe a drive by under acceleration/cabin noise/a rev short revs/cold start? I've heard several clips of the muffler delete, but none with the mufflers in place. I would very much appreciate it! Thanks!

Exhaust: full 2015 wrx catback quad tips
Jpipe: no (coming soon)
Loudness: under 2,500rmp 6 above and freeway speeds 3.5 at wot 5.5 I'm just it will get louder with the jpipe
Modifications: trim bumper to get the quads to fit

I love the oem look! The sounds is perfect, the service guys love the car!

Exhaust: Nameless Axle Back with single 5" tips (stock midpipe)
Aftermarket Jpipe: No
Loudness Rating: 5-6, but 10 at WOT because I have a leak at the flange(s)
Fitment: No modifications, but didn't line up perfect and had to use some force.
Comments: Sounds good through lower to mid RPM's with little to no drone, but super loud air leak at WOT and high RPM's. I think this is due to use of improper gaskets and will update when I get the leak(s) fixed.

Exhaust: Subaru SPT WRX 14+ Quad Tip CBE
Aftermarket Jpipe: Nope
Loudness Rating: 5-6...Added two resonators to bring it down to 2-3
Fitment: Since a 2.5 it required additional hangers and modifying bumper.
Comments: Looked solid with quad staggered tips. Some drone at low speeds uphill, but minimal drone at freeway cruising speeds.

Exhaust: Just the 2015 WRX mid-pipe
Aftermarket Jpipe: Nope
Loudness Rating: stock + 2
Fitment: perfect bolt-on
Comments: Add a bit of bass to the stock exhaust, and a bit of burble on decel as well. Very subtle change but perfect for my family hauler. It's more noticeable with windows down.

My plan was to go full WRX but the WRX mufflers add an insane amount of drone while the XT mufflers keep it nice and tidy. I tried all combinations of WRX and XT cat-back exhaust parts, and this is one that worked for me the best.

Pavster,

This sounds exactly what I"m looking for. Do you happen to know the part number for the mid pipe you've used?

I contacted a subaru dealership and they are telling me the mid-pipe for a 2015 WRX are

44200VA090
44011SG010 - QTY2
44022AA123
010510307 - QTY4
902350001 - QTY4
44059AA010 - QTY2
802008270 - QTY2

They weren't sure if it's compatible with my Forester though so I wanted to check with you first.

If anyone else knows, I would gladly accept your feedback as well :)

Does anybody have a Nameless Turbo Back Exhasut with the catted J-Pipe and 5" mufflers (the version designed for the 14+ FXT with dual tips not quad)? I'm considering this set up, and maybe even adding an AEM Cold Air Intake (part # 21-742C).

Sounds, experience, and possibly performance feel/numbers would be awesome.

Same. Invidia Test Fit Car

Notes: 7/2015 I swapped the resonator that came with the hs08sw4gt3 with a Vibrant performance 3" Ultra Quiet Resonator. I've also replaced 5 of the factory hangers with Kartboy KB-011-12mm (same length as factory, stiff/rigid, slightly more girth).
Fitment: I added the Grimmspeed 077046 (Factory Jpipe to 3" exhaust adapter). The exhaust tips protrude from the bumper by an 1". The R&D guy at Invidia had a hard time getting the tips to align.

Exhaust: invidia dual tip cat back PN: hs08sw4gt3
Aftermarket jpipe: no
Loudness: 2-3 at idle 4-5 under load
Fitment: perfect, easy to adjust, Alittle short but the hangers soak it up

Noob question. I have a '15 STI and '14 FXT. Noticed the long Y pipe on the FXT has a suitcase shaped muffler/silencer while the STI does not. The STI already went with a full exhaust, so I have stock parts sitting here. Does the STI midpipe fit the FXT? I would be using the FXT mufflers (I like the 1 tip on each side look). The FXT has a catless Invidia J/downpipe.

Exhaust: Nameless Performance Axleback w/o mufflers
Aftermarket Jpipe: n
Loudness Rating: 4.5
Fitment: Had a custom exhaust shop remove the flanges and direct weld it. Stock hangars worked fine.
Comments: Not as loud as I thought it would be.
Video clip: Coming soon.

Hi guys, I have seen this exhaust online and it said it fits 08-14 wrx. Since the invidia q300 and n1 is too pricy for me and I am only looking for some exciting exhaust sound, I am looking at this megan axle back. I am wondering if it will fit my 14 forester xt? I found that the invidia on 08-14 wrx can fit into 14 forester xt, anyone has idea? Thanks. Heres the link. http://www.meganracing.com/product_detail.asp?prodid=146&catid=16

Does anyone have or heard a q300 with a catted or catless J pipe? I'm thinking about going turbo back but I don't want it to be an obnoxious droning mess for a DD.

Currently I have a Q300 and outside of my car friends, nobody can tell that it's an aftermarket exhaust. I love it.
