Subaru Forester Fog Light LED Bulbs

We carry LED bulbs for replacement of your Forester's fog lights or DRLs, in all major sizes. They are available in several different LED model types. This will make your fog lights a nice bright white, without the hassle of HIDs! Just simple plug and play, replace the bulb and you are good to go!

We carry the brightest, highest-quality bulbs at the lowest prices. Your order will ship same day, and we're here if you need us for support and service. And we do not raise the prices to astronomical levels- We're breaking that market trend, and offering you great, low prices, every day. These LED bulbs are designed by us here in St. Louis, and every bulb carries with it a 3-year limited warranty.

Diode Dynamics offers several brightness options so you can choose what fits you best. These options are listed by the design and the lumen output of each bulb, compared to the factory bulb.

HP48: 265 lumens. Lower brightness than factory, but still provides the crisp white, modern color of LEDs.

XP80: 510 lumens. Similar brightness to factory.

XML2: 1410 lumens. Much brighter than factory. These are bright!

*XML2 is available in 3000K Yellow / 4000K / 5000K / 6000K Color Temperatures

These bulbs are made up of a quality plastic connector to slide right into the plug, as well as high durability terminals. A load resistor is embedded to prevent blowing the LEDs from voltage surge, and a diode is implanted to protect the LEDs from reverse polarity. The LED is wired for 12V operation, the kind found on all vehicles.

Included in your order is TWO BULBS (to fit your Forester).

All of our products come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and a 3-year limited warranty.

how do these compare to a 55w H3 bulb output? is this a look or does it serve a purpose ie. provide a nice output that actually will help you in bad weather conditions?

Diode Dynamics 02-15-2012 04:41 PM

We know- we are working to get those pictures to you guys!

Stealthy, these are for looks, not performance. I'd recommend one of our HID kits if you're looking to drastically upgrade your performance. Thanks!

I used your vehicle finder to find an application for my vehicle.
"There are no products matching this selection" under the 2004 Subaru Foreseter or 2011 Forester I searched for. I own a 2004 Forester XT.

I wouldn't mind something brighter, but I'd also like to be assured that these would be brighter than stock. I would be willing to test some for you and provie some professional quality comparison shots with my Canon DSLR from 10 and 20 feet away from a bright coloured wall at night which would show a side by side comparison between a stock bulb and your bulb. PM me if interested or if you get something listed on your website for our vehicles.

We are currently in the process of listing them all. I'll make sure these are done next, thanks!

How do these compare in terms of brightness/effectiveness with the stock fogs?

Also, I don't see any Subarus listed on your more info page - are they plug and play with a 2003 Forester?

Diode Dynamics 03-07-2012 08:25 AM

Yes, they are 100% plug-and-play. The hi-power are about as bright as stock fogs, and the SMD are about half as bright. Thanks!

Thanks. Any side by sides in a Forester?

Also, which bulb would a Forester require? The bulbs on that page are all different, and none are marked for Forester.

I posted a question, and I'm still waiting for an answer!

Sorry about that! We will finally have side-by-side comparison shortly. We wanted to wait until we had yellow in stock as well.

The bulb size for your 2003 Forester would be H3, available here:

still waiting...

Do you have a yellow LED replacement bulb for fogs that's as bright as an ebay yellow bulb? I have yellow Lamin-X vinyl over my fogs as well, not sure how that would affect light output.

Diode Dynamics 05-23-2012 01:23 PM

Our XML2 produces 1,420 lumens (measured) and is a plug and play replacement for your Forester

It's significantly brighter than your factory halogen bulbs

I'v bought these as my park lights and I have also installed the same type as instrument lights.(white) 194 5-5050 SMD
Because there are 5 diodes on one socket, these really work great in the instrument cluster.
I also ordered a few of those led plates. I have installed one so far and it's really bright light from it compared to the festoon bulb that normally sits there.

I also started to replace all the 74 bulbs. I have changed some and will change the rest soon.

So far they all work great
