Diode Dynamics offers LED bulbs for replacement of your Subaru Forester's fog lights or DRLs, in all major sizes. They are available in several different LED bulb model options. This will make your Subaru Forester's fog lights a nice bright white, (Or yellow / SLF model Only) without the hassle of HIDs! Just simple plug and play, replace the bulb and you are good to go!

Diode Dynamics carries the brightest, highest-quality LED replacements on the market. We're here if you need us for support and service. These LED bulbs are designed by our engineering team here in St. Louis, and every bulb carries with it a 3-year limited warranty.

The SL1 & SLF models are manufactured in St. Louis, Missouri.

Diode Dynamics offers several brightness options so you can choose what fits your needs best. These options are listed by the design and the lumen output of each bulb, compared to the Forester's factory bulb.

HP48: 265 lumens. Lower brightness than factory, but still provides the crisp white, modern color of LEDs.

XP80: 510 lumens. Similar brightness to factory.

SLF: 850 lumens. Much brighter than factory. USA-made!

*SLF is available in 3000K Yellow / 5700K Color Temperatures

Diode Dynamics LED replacements are made up of a quality plastic connector to slide right into the plug, as well as high durability terminals. A load resistor is embedded to prevent blowing the LEDs from voltage surge, and a diode is implanted to protect the LEDs from reverse polarity. The LED is wired for 12V operation, the kind found on all vehicles.

Included in your order is TWO BULBS (to fit your Subaru Forester).

Diode Dynamics products come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee and a 3-year limited warranty.

Thinking about adding fogs onto my '15 XT and that I'd rather have this housing than the OEM. I'd need the Subaru fog kit sans the housing, do you know if this is something I can purchase or do I have to find the parts that the kit contains and purchase each separately? That will probably be a pain in the bum.

Cheers!

You should be able to buy the bezels and factory switch from Subaru, we can help you with the rest. Similar to how our FR-S / BRZ fog light kit is setup

This housing is a direct replacement to the factory housing and the wiring is the same.

Feel free to send an email to contact@diodedynamics.com

We can provide you with more details and help you add fog lights to your XT

I've all parts ready to order but the housings. Any chance that these will be available with a yellow output? I drive in some serious blizzard and fog conditions so I need true yellow, for performance not looks. Seems putting a yellow filter on is mostly for looks.

Thanks!

The XML2s are indeed 1,410 lumens per bulb (measured)

They produce significantly more lumen output than the factory halogen bulbs, but utilize the factory reflector fog light housings quite well.

I don't have a graphic or diagram on file with the angle or degrees of the Subaru Forester's factory housing, but it's worth noting that fog lights are an auxiliary location, mounted low on the vehicle, and will not create significant glare for other drivers on the road. Especially not as much as an HID conversion kit.

If you are looking for a technical spec-sheet with our measurements of the H11 XML2, please send an email: contact@diodedynamics.com and we can provide you with more information from our engineering team.

We also offer a complete LED replacement housing, which replaces the entire factory fog light housing. (currently out of stock).

Feel free to give us a call for more information: (314) 205-3033

Thank you!

are the XP80 yellows in stock for 06-13 fozzie?

trying to convince myself to jump for the XML2 yellow, but really only need the XP.
The XP80s are out of stock at the moment. We are making some improvements to the design.

The XP80's produce 510 lumens vs. XML2 which produces 1,420 lumens (measured)

We also offer a Yellow halogen replacement from Putco

Hi Diode Dynamics,

I am about to order a set of LED foglight bulbs (XML2) from your website. Found that your bulbs are of H11 fitment while my manual states that my fogs' bulbs are H16.
Are the H11s compatible with my foglights?

By the way, I am driving a 2016 Subaru Forester XT.

Thanks!

OK - another question - My 2017 touring has the LED headlights but the regular fog lights

the LED headlights seem to be quite bright and give good coverage on low beam, but i have the 'yellow' look so I still want to upgrade so the fogs match the color.

I havent found any posts showing the upgraded LED fogs with the LED Touring headlights - What would i gain (if anything) by going 1420 lumen bulb over 520 bulb? in either 5000k or 6000k

I also just found your interior LED upgrade page - definitely going to order some from there as well

Hello Brian,

The 1,420 lumen XML2 will produce significantly more usable output for the fog light location than our 520 lumen XP80, and your OEM incandescent bulb. The Yellow color temperature is also more effective in foggy/rainy conditions.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to give us a call: (314) 205-3033

We are looking forward to assisting you

Thanks!
