I have the chance to score a 2015 WRX exhaust for a great deal, so am looking at a swap. Has anyone done this and have words of advice? I realize I'll need to get driver side muffler hangers added but is there anything else to watch out for? I'm not keen on cutting the bumper so would longer bushings be a good idea?
I had a friend that bought a Nameless exhaust from a 2015 WRX for his 2014 (or vice-versa), but he said it wouldn't fit. So I'm guessing the 2015+ won't fit the SH
No cutting needed. The 2.5i has the same bumper with dual cut outs as the XTs. There is a plug covering the hole on the drivers side. If you look under the bumper, you will see the plug is held in with a screw and a few clips.
The mufflers that I'm adding have dual tips so I was worried if they'd fit. I found some extra long rubber hangers and they hang just below. Doesn't look bad.
Couldn't stand the drone so took it off. I was able to swap the WRX midpipe for a resonated pipe from an STI which was a big improvement. After stuffing a steel wool scrubber in one of the pipe tips now it sounds great, if a little quiet even. Here is the finished look.
OP do you have any links to sound clips? I have the same midpipe. but with custom mufflers. Thinking of installing the WRX mufflers instead cuz it is a bit too droney going uphill.
