I should see them soon enough, I'm not too worried. My many years of shopping FleaBay taught me to have patience with postage.
cool man. what sux is that, distance-wise, you are one of the closest to me from the GB.

Put mine on today in about 15 min. Had to file one of the blocks but now it's a perfect fit. I'm pleased.

So should I knock a few thousandths off the lip to give a little more leeway, or leave it alone? I tried to keep this tolerance very close since the lip is actually what keeps the block from rotating.

I could back it off a bit for a little more "play".
I think the holes were just slightly off on some of the blocks causing the issue.

hmmm. i'll have to look into this - that could be the case.

They all came off of the same CNC machine, and from the same .dwg file. Nothing is fool-proof of course, but i'd tend to think it was more differences in each application causing the issue.

I bet if i tried to be less "perfect" with the lip's tolerance to the top of the hood hinge, there would be zero issues. Sorry you guys are having to touch these up.

^ Amen. If its tight, it seems the best recourse is to loosen the second hinge bolt or file the bracket. No biggie.

They showed up today! Canada Post was fairly quick for a change...

they look great, I'll install them as soon as I've got a free half hour, hopefully this weekend.

Props to GarageXTi for labelling them as "Commercial Sample", NO DUTY!

I wasn't sure how they were made. Knowing this, I'd have to lean towards minor differences in the subarus as the most likely cause.. But a little file & minimal effort took care of the problem. No big deal.
