Default Diesel Foz, 87kw at the wheels?

I just heard from the team who are tuning my diesel and they told me that the first dyno run showed 87kw at the wheels. I'm not really sure what to think of this but it sounds pretty soft. They increased the power to 101kw with the ecu remap. Torque increase was 50Nm, from 255Nm to 305Nm. More details -->here<--

It is normal to loose around 15-25% through the drive train. So with a stock 110kW then 87 kW at the wheels sounds about right.

Drive & live with it for a while, then make your judgement. Remember with our Diesels it's not actually the headline figures that matter, except for bragging rights .

edit: an advantage of the tuning box solution, I can change settings at will, or off completely, or removed so that comparisons are easy.

I'd love some more info on your box, how much did it cost you, what's nvolved in it and what sort of gains are you seeing?

The box is just under £200 in the UK.

I've not done any more dyno runs since fitting the Synergy 1cr. I took it on as a development item and have been reporting back the results. It's now the 5th version and this one is not going back. I'm about to pay for it .

Tuning Modules / Boxes

Maybe it's time for another dyno run

This is dpm's baseline dyno graph.

This is my baseline dyno graph; similar to dpm's but includes my mods; TMIC Shroud-Induction Kit-Exhaust, but the Synergy 1cr switched off.

This is with the Synergy 1cr on setting 9 (highest).

Not a lot of obvious improvement, but it definitely drives quicker than the headline figures suggest. If it ever gets to a genuine 180/300, then it will be really scary with my suspension woes.

:) Great to see some more Diesel Dyno Data.
I love how we both started on 87kw.
Im not really sure on what basis to compare our graphs. Your power and torque kick in at a much lower RPM, does this mean that you are burning more petrol earlier?
What kind of mileage are you getting out of you car on the performance9 setting?
I have found that after my tune 1st and second gears show a reading of 50.0L/100km instantly until I reach a cruising speed. I have also found that there is more power in 6th gear whereas before there was almost none. I now actually use 6th gear on the highway because it doesnt struggle up hills anymore.
What is your driving experience like?
