Fuji Heavy, which raised its full-year profit forecast yesterday, said the switch to air delivery for parts may increase costs by 7 billion yen ($60 million) per month, said Mitsuru Takahashi, chief financial officer of Subaru.
I wonder what the impact is on actual vehicle deliveries? Will dealers have inventory shortages, especially on models that move quickly like the Forester?
Not to get political or anything, but this is one problem with Unions. They can essentially hold whatever infrastructure or market hostage until their demands are met.
Unsure how to feel about this, on one hand it seems they are circumventing the workers right to strike/with hold their labour.
On the other, maybe that's just the strike working, as the ports lose business, the pressure is on to come to an agreement.
