Placing orders and delivery times

I've been reading many scattered posts about people placing orders for their Foresters and actual delivery times. I think there should be 1 place so that people can get a real idea of the process. I would love to hear from people what there actual experiences are as well as any knowledge from those in the know about how Subaru does this.

I'll start.... ordered a 2014 2.5i Limited in BBM on 3/18/13 with an estimated availability of June 2013. I was told it could take as long as 16 weeks but hopefully not.

I originally ordered an x touring but changed it to an xt premium around early/mid march and they said it would be mid may before it would arrive..
Called subaru with my order number a week ago and they gave me the actual vin of the car I ordered. it's supposed to be in around the 10th of this month now.
That's a month sooner. I almost opted to just get one of the dealer stock that's coming in but when I found out it's supposed to be here on the new date, I stuck with my order.
The waiting is killing me though!!

I ordered a 2014 XT Touring on March 17th. I was just told this weekend it should be here on/around May 4th.

FYI: Marine Blue Pearl color.

Hi, I'm in Chicago, IL. I placed my order March 1 and was quoted end of April, early May. I got a call last week and got my car April 6. Waiting for the car was painful but it was worth it

Many of you guys are getting the cars pretty quick... I'm beginning to thinks some of it has to do with Model/color combo. My guess is they're producing more of some than others. Letting us know color and model might help in understanding these statistics better. Thanx.....

The first one I ordered was projected for May and randomly showed up in mid-March (Ordered first day the system was open). Time will tell when the new one that I ordered today comes :) (2.5i Touring)

still waiting

It's been 4 weeks since ordering and still no change in status. SOA told me to call at the end of the month (6 weeks) to see if anything is updated.

Congrats.... I've actually looked at online inventory of most of the other Subie dealers in the state and the Limited in Burnished Bronze doesn't exist.

I ordered my 2014 FXT Premium 4/9/13. Was told June to July. I think it may be toward the latter as I added a few "labor heavy" options such as the mirror package #2, fog lights, and remote start. Then again I think all that can be done port-side. The rest of my options are simple just throw-ins or bolt ons. I also ordered it in Marine Blue Pearl, a common color. First ones my dealer got were in that color.

We shall see.

I ordered a 2012 WRX limited sedan (also with labor heavy options) in March of 2012. Was told 6-8 weeks and got it in 3 1/2 weeks time.

I placed an order for a 2014 Black XT Touring on April 7, 2013. I am still awaiting delivery of the vehicle since my dealer had to trade their BRZ for the Black Forester I wanted with another dealer. Apparently, Black XT Touring Models are hard to come by here in SoCal. My dealer said they already "have" the vehicle but are just waiting for it to be transported.
