2017 Vs 2018 Forester XT

I was in the market for a new car. Currently shopping around the Forester XT or Outback 3.6R. Regarding the forester, do you guys think the 2018 updates are significant to chose it over a lower priced new 2017 xt?

A Foz is a Foz. It is your wallet and your needs. It really the same mechanical vehicle.

I would not expect anything significant until 2019-2020.

Forester XT vs Outback 3.6: Very close call. Consider what you ultimately need from the car. I went with the Forester XT because it was far more fun to drive.
Year model 2017 vs 2018: You're always going to be either chasing or waiting for next best thing. It will never end. Buy when you're ready. Sleep well.

I don't know about DR, but the US MY18 XT is virtually unchanged from MY17. On the Touring some previous options are now standard such as Active Torque Vectoring and EyeSight. (As a result MSRP has increased from $34,295 to $36,090.)

One nice change for 2018, you can get an XT Touring in White with a choice of Black or Brown leather seats.
For SOA to limit the buyers of the most expensive 2017 Foz to only Brown leather with White exterior was in your face horsesh*t.
Especially that brown, which was very orange in bright sunlight.
