Got an updated Bill of Sale for my order with MSRP for 2017. Figured I'll post the numbers.

This was a pre-order so that I would be first in line to get the new car. I knew had absolutely no ground for negotiation. The dealership GM offered me to secure the 2016 prices, which turned out to be a good deal since prices went up for 2017.

Keep in mind that all prices are in CAD$

Thanks @voidrunner , I think you have a distinction of being the first.
How do you like your decked out Forester?

Haven't received it yet. Car ETA July/August. Non-EyeSight-equipped models will be arriving a month early, in June

that's almost 36k USD that's about an average price for a fully loaded XT. When do you pick up your car?

buy it, build it, drive the hell out of it!

Don't have a solid ETA yet. Either end of July or August.

The car is fully loaded. When it comes to XT, in Canada we don't get any options other than the Tech package (which comes with EyeSight+safety tech and nav)
Since it was a pre-order, I didn't have much (if any) ammo to use as I battled over the price. The fact that he agreed to secure the 2016 prices (and thus saving me 1500+HST tax) was already more than I could ask for.

Are the brochures out yet for the 2017 models so I can see which options are included with each trim as well as the look of each trim.

Thanks.

Hrm...by the time i cut the EyeSight and the other stuff I don't want, I might be able to get down to around 30k if I step hard enough on the dealer's neck.

Not today.

Is it possible for you to PM me the name of your sales guy? Do you think he is still taking pre-orders? I'm in Montreal but would be willing to travel to Toronto to get it.

I'm curious, when people post here with the Discounts, does this mean they're paying in cash, or will the dealer give you a discount if you go with Subaru's financing? It seems all the dealerships i've visited have told me to get bent (while eyeballing 2016's), if I want to take advantage of Subaru's 0.9% Financing on the end year models. If i'm paying in cash, they can work something out.

I would recommend finding a better dealership. My dealership tries to get everyone the advertised Subaru rate. Most good dealers will have no problem giving you the 0.9% as long as you qualify for it.

HI! I'M MR MEESEEKS! LOOK AT ME!

Apparently Subaru in Repentigny, near Montreal are taking order for the 2017 Forester. Less far than Toronto!

Just priced out a 17 XT Touring W/Eyesight. MSRP came in at $36765.00 with a WHOPPING dealer discount of $1496 bringing the price to $35265.00 (nice 04% discount)
I didn't want to shop around but I guess I will. I thought there would be a bit more of a discount.
