So far dealer offered $1,213 below MSRP, which isn't great compared to deals others are getting in the $700-750 below invoice on 2015's.
Check with Grand in Chicago. Here is their quote for ordering mine.

2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i Limited

Satin White Pearl / Gray interior

Popular Package #1: Exterior auto dim mirrors with approach lighting, Auto dim mirror w/compass, Rear bumper cover, and Seat back cargo net

Body side moldings

Sport Grille (gunmetal)

All Weather mats

Leather shift knob

MSRP: $30,467

Invoice: $28,197

Your Price: $27,077

Only costs other than this are about $200 in document fee's and your sales tax. As you can see that is $1100 under invoice or $3400 under sticker. Kind of makes the $1200 under sticker you are finding look like crap. Well worth the flight or drive over. My wife is looking forward to the trip!

Model: 2.5i T
Trim: Touring
Transmission: CVT
Options/Packages: EyeSight, Navigation, Popular Package 2 (Mirror w/ Compass & Homnelink, Exterior Mirror w/ Approach Lights), Rear Bumper Cover, Cargo Net Seat Back, All Weather Floor Mats, Cargo Net Side, Splash Guard Kit, REAR SEAT BACK PROTECTOR, 110 POWER OUTLET KIT
Dealer freebies: free oil changes for first 24,000 (dealer claims that this is Subaru-wide, and can be done at any Subaru dealership)
Purchase program used: USAA Purchase Program (Truecar)
Trade-in?: No
Extras (extended warranty, rust proofing, paint protection, etc): None
Price paid (before TTL): $31,292
Retail MSRP: $34,226

Updated: The dealer couldn't get the trade from another dealer, so they offered me another that they are getting delivered later this month that has a $400 higher MSRP for the same $31,292 price. It looks like the extra feature it added was the 110 POWER OUTLET KIT, which has actually been very useful in my current Jeep. I put down a deposit.

Requested a quote from Grand Subaru in Chicago and I was shocked by the low price. Roughly 4% below invoice! I calculated the tax, title, doc fees, and I would come out around $28,100 which is just an amazing deal.

I put the $500 deposit down and now I just have to wait until the end of JULY.....

July that is 4 months was that an estimate on delivery time? Great price $500 less then mine but we are not located by any large cities to get better pricing. Looks like based on the post to this thread a lot of XTs are being ordered.

I choose a more local dealer and helped him through the 2015 inventory list. $700 off invoice was good enough for me and it saved on taxes.
Premium CVT w AWW and too many misc. options: MSRP 27,285 Invoice $25445 Sell: $24,745. $150 Doc, Plate est: $163, Sales tax: $2202. VON only at this time. Excitement will build over the next month!
Early delivery, priced as stated. Plates were $138. Drove across Washington in high winds last night but still got 31+ mpg. Everything in great shape but the mirrors weren't quite what I expected. Now to the thick manual....

Anyone know if our orders will be listed on the dealer's website as "in transit" inventory once they ship it?

I think its completely up to the dealership. I would if I were them just to use the car as advertisement (eye candy but no test drives).

I've had my 2014 XT since July last year. Love the car already have 18K miles on it.
My parents just decided they want one too.
So we're looking at a 2015 2.5i for them.
I will be on the title so we will be getting the 2% off invoice deal since I wasn't eligible when I got mine.
Here's the break down.
2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i Premium w/All-Weather Pkg/EyeSight
Invoice - 25963 - 2% (519.26) = 25443.74
CA Tax and Fees - 2297.16
Lic - 394.75
Total OTD - 28135.91 Although his math seemed off in his email he said (28072.10)
We'll see when I get fly in to cali and go to the dealership in the morning...

Anyone in CA dealt with Steven's Creek Subaru?

Do you guys consider this a good deal, I feel like there is a little more to be saved here?

Its my first Subaru and its for my wife a new kid. I hate buying cars and allway's feel like I get ripped off. I am trying to do my research this time.

Thanks
