I'm a first time Subaru buyer and am enjoying this car!

2014 Forester Touring 2.5i

Purchased in October 2013 in MD; ordered in September and it came in 2 weeks (originally 3 months delivery time).

Got an amazing quote from Grand Subaru in Illinois for $27,176. Emailed that quote to dealers in MD, VA, PA, but got no takers, not even close. I expanded my search - DE, NJ, NC, WV, OH, MA, CT, NY - but not much willingness to deal. Transportation charge from Illinois to DC would have been $1000. I decided not to go to Chicago and found a dealer in MD who quoted $28,176.

INVOICE: $28,051
Destination Fee: $825
Subtotal: $28,876

Here's the breakdown of purchase:
Dealer Sale Price: $28,176 (includes $825 dest. fee)
Options: $437
Dealer Fee: $199
Tags & Title: $370
Tax (6%): $1729

Total Out the Door Price: $30,811

Options:
Trailer Hitch
Aero Cross Bars
Splash Guards
Rear Bumper Cover

Here is what I paid for my white 2.5iTouring

I live in Northern Virginia Area

Base MSRP $29995
Option Package #30 $2400
(Keyless Access & Start, EyeSight Driver-Assist System, HID)
Popular Package #1 $567
(Rear Bumper Cover, Auto Dim Mirror Compass, Cargo Net Seat Back, Ext Mirror with Approach Lt/Compass)
Splash Guard Kit $147
Cross Bar Set $199
All Weather Floor Mats $72
Destination & Delivery $825

That sums up $34205

I Paid OTD $33000. Also got a 1.39% interest rate Deal on Financing.
Could have been better if they have one with popular package #2.

Did I Overpay??? Anyone can advice? Just bought it yesterday.

Hi all, hoping to become a FXT owner sometime this year. I live in Fort Collins, CO (where we have a local performance metric: SPB or Subarus Per Block :icon_wink:) and Dellenbach Subaru is the local dealer.

Can someone take a look at these prices: Dellenbach Subaru. Are the internet prices shown a good deal? What else might they add to that price?

Would it be better to sign up for a VIP program and wait six months?

You live in one of the best parts of the country to get a good deal. Deals better than 4% below invoice are frequently reported on this thread. I recommend getting a quote from Clint (Heuberger Motors) for a baseline.

Good luck.

Got a quote from a dealer on a 2014 XT Premium

Subaru Forester 2.0XT Premium, automatic transmission, no additional options:

MSRP: $28,825

Your E-Price: $26,758 and again that includes the mandatory $830 Subaru Transportation Fee.

Yes, we can include the 4 year/60,0000 mile Subaru Gold Plus Warranty for you on this vehicle as well!

Is this a good price?

Is this a good price on a base model 2.5i Forester CVT without any popular package in Texas?

Invoice 22,758
MSRP 24,149
Out the door price 23,479 from the dealer

Thanks

Sorry, but...

I've purchased two Foresters in Colorado (2012/2013) through competitive bidding online (purchased my 2013 XT at 12% below invoice from Groove Subaru). Heuberger (Colorado Springs) consistently came back with the highest quotes. If you're going to buy in Colorado, I'd suggest doing it in Denver.

Sounds like you got a great deal on a model transition closeout (MY13 to MY14). Competitive bidding seems to work well.

I posted about a month ago back when I had put a deposit in on a 2.5i Premium with all-weather package. I just picked up the car last night. Here's the details of the deal:

2014 2.5i Premium with all weather package
Homelink Rear view mirror
Cargo Tray, All weather mats and rear bumper cover

Price I paid was $24,510. Tax, Title and License added about $2200 more to it.

The process was incredibly easy. I wrote an email, they sent back an offer, I put the deposit down, they called when it arrived. I picked it up and it took about an hour and a half to sign the papers. They even beat my credit unions loan by a small amount. The finance guy didn't ever bother pushing any of the usual stuff (warranty, gap insurance, etc.).

I can highly recommend Lynn at Wentworth Subaru in Portland. They were about $1000 less than any Western Washington or Portland area dealer.

Price check: Used 2014 2.0XT Touring w/ eyesight + hitch

Hey guys, this is my first post but I think I will be a big Subaru fan once I finally get one! : )
I was planning on ordering a 2015 but then I came across this used 14 XT for sale with 2000 mileage listed for $33,500.

The dealer is not a Subaru dealer and got it on a trade in so they aren't super knowledgable about what packages or upgrades it has.
It has homelink he said, would that mean he got one of the packages or could he have gotten homelink on its own? It has rear cargo rubber mat but no rubber mats anywhere else. It seems to have splash guards in the picture.

According to truecar.com a NEW XT Touring with the eyesight, keyless, hid package and oem trailer hitch would cost $34,000. So $500 for 2kmiles doesn't seem like a good deal. I've read a new car once taken off the dealers lot lose a few thousand so their listing price doesn't make sense. How much should I offer for this XT? What would be the best way to approach this negotiation? We haven't talked at all about the price yet. MANY Thanks in advance, I can't wait to get one of these machines!

Was just wondering if there are any(or can lead me to) Canadians willing to put how much you guys paid for a 2014 XT ? ?
