Previous owner to 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Ltd(Accessport, downpipe, uppipe). Traded that in for 2008 CPO Infiniti FX35(bad mistake). Miss the turbo. Will trade that in for the Forester. Expecting to arrive Early - Mid April.

Honestly don't know what the total invoice is, but having $4374 off from the MSRP is pretty nice IMO.

Yeah wow that sounds like a pretty good deal to me! I'm in Norcal and having a hard time getting dealers to even come down to invoice to place an order for one.

Welcome from Sebastopol! Have you tried Marin Subaru?

Also, for the new Norcal owners... I'm still looking for a 2014 to assist with a test fitment: http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulle...st-fit-128762/

Thanks! I wonder if I've seen your Forester as I'm always cruising through Sebastopol in my WRX on my way out to the beach. I haven't talked to Marin Subaru yet, but I will now. Thanks!

Could be... I have a silver XT, slightly lowered, Rota wheels, and a rally light bar.

If you go to Marin, George or Sofia are nice to work with in sales.

Oh yeah definitely seen your car around. That thing is sweet looking! I had a Silver 06 WRX wagon with black wheels, but now have a Dark Gray 2012 WRX hatch with silver wheels (both with surf racks).

Hoping to trade the current one in for the 14 XT as I could use more cargo space and ground clearance for camping trips. Not to mention the improved gas mileage is a plus and I'm honestly tired of driving a manual with the 30k miles I do a year.

Sure seems like a lot of the people here are going for the Turbo model. (myself included) We are only 5-10% of the 2014 buyers?

LOL, funny you should say that... My wife's uncle just ordered a 2.0XT Touring with EyeSight about 2 hours ago. Add that to the list of 5-10%'ers. :icon_wink:

He used the VIP program to get it at 2% under invoice, so no need to post additional cost details on that.

Of interest is that they were able to match him up with one on allocation and he was given a delivery date of March 26!

So we will have a Forester 2.5i Touring (mine) and 2.0XT Touring in the family by the end of March! So I should be able to post my thoughts on the differences between the two.

Personally, I'm hoping the 2.5i is peppy enough that I don't get buyer's remorse with his XT! I like the idea of saving $3,000 and getting better mileage.

Yeah, I was pretty torn between the two models. I like the extra mpg for the i model and the fact that I could get the cold weather package with the toasty seats but in the end I am a horsepower nut. First time I have ever bought a car sight unseen. Haven't found a single bad review on these things though and believe me, I have been digging pretty deep on the internet! :icon_cool:

Well you can add me to the list of those who have ordered the Turbo model. Just ordered an Ice Silver XT premium with no accessories for invoice, which is $27,057 including destination I think.

Would have liked to get it for a bit lower with some accessories, but it was pretty difficult for me in Norcal after talking to a bunch of dealers to even get them to come down to invoice. I'm also hoping that the facts I got the order in sooner and with no accessories that I will maybe get it assigned to an allocation and get delivery sooner.

Either way I now have a VON for sold order and it's estimating availability at this point not until June! Hopefully that will improve as I've heard of people already getting there's much sooner than originally estimated.

Congrats! Which dealership did you end up going with?

Does that sound good to you guys? I called around a few dealers and most of them are all just orders.
